A day in the life…of an uber driver with our new rewards Program

Sean the Uber driver gets in his car for the long shift he’s planned. 8 hours of driving is a lot, but he’s gotta get that money. He turns on his Uber driver app and the screen flashes as confetti pours from the top of the phone to the bottom. A box pops up informing Sean, “New rewards unlocked!”

He taps his profile and waiting for him is a coupon to Jersey Mike’s subs for a free footlong today! He got this because he has dropped 5 passengers at various Jersey Mike’s locations around the city. Now he’s got free lunch to look forward to and only profit to put in his pocket!

He starts his shift, picks up his first passenger and drops him at the designated location. After the passenger gets out and tips Sean for his services, another celebration goes off on his phone. He’s found the secret Easter Egg Location for the day! The first driver of the day to drop their passenger within a 500 ft radius of the randomly-selected Easter Egg Location* gets $100 added to their wages for the day. Score!

*Every day there is a location deemed the day’s “Easter Egg” where when a driver drops someone off at that location they get a cash bonus. They won’t know where or why, but they will be surprised as hell when they see that bonus celebration screen on their phone saying “You’ve found today’s Easter Egg!” $100 will be added to your paycheck.

After making a few more trips, Sean picks up a family going to Navy Pier. They have a great conversation and after he drops them off and they tip him well, he gets a notification on his phone that he has gotten a free voucher for him and his family to ride the ferris wheel the next time they go to the pier. Amazing!

He grabs his free Jersey Mike’s and stops by a new Driver’s Lounge* to go to the bathroom, rest a little and goes back out on the road.

*Uber will erect Driver’s Lounges across the city to cater to driver’s needs while they are out and about on their shifts. These lounges will be renovated from abandoned buildings across the city to rejuvenate the spaces and neighborhoods they exist in. They lounges will have clean bathrooms, state-of-the-art facilities to relax, nap, sit in a massage chair for a while, eat free snacks and drinks, and rejuvenate themselves before going out again to drive.

*Uber introduces a credit card that gives huge savings to their drivers to pay for things specifically while they’re driving like gas, car washes, and maintenance. The card also gives you access to “secret driver’s lounges” across the city where drivers get elite pampering while taking a break from driving.

Using his Uber Black Card*, Sean fills up his tank at a highly-discounted rate and hits up the car wash at the end of his shift. His phone notifies him that this wash is free!

When he gets home, he checks his mail and receives a notice from Uber that he has earned his Key(fob) to the City!*

*Once an Uber driver has been driving in the same city for three years, the Mayor and Uber award them a Key(fob) to the City These fobs unlock secret chambers in government buildings where they get special treatments. Each Key holder gets featured in the city newspaper which highlights their individual life stories in order to make these drivers more than just a picture on your phone and a chauffeur.

At the end of the day, Sean’s had free lunch, a $100 bonus, has plans with his family for the weekend, gotten a discounted tank of gas, and his car is clean for the next day’s shift. What a day at work!
